From the Executive Editor

A much used cliché is “The only constant is change.” With this in mind, your Editors are always looking at ways to implement changes to JIAEE that improve its accessibility to readers, convenience for authors, and overall reputation. I am happy to report our new PayPal system for processing page fee payments is working successfully.

The next change I am pleased to share with you is JIAEE’s new look. Graphic design has come a long ways since the first days of our journal and it was time to spruce up our logo and cover with a more contemporary design. I believe the designer has done a tremendous job presenting a clean image that implies the connection between our work and a healthy and vibrant agricultural system. The new logo and cover were created by Mr. Arthur Leal, a current doctoral student at the University of Florida and graduate of the agricultural communications program at the University of Arkansas. I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do.

My time as Executive Editor is winding down; only two more issues to go before the journal moves to the capable leadership of Dr. Robert Strong. This transition means we are actively searching for a Managing Editor-Elect, whose term will officially begin in January 2016. The Managing Editor is responsible for screening all submitted manuscripts, assigning reviewers, and returning publication decisions. Interested individuals must have published in JIAEE within the past five years and should have strong demonstrated writing skills, including appropriate use of APA (6th ed.) style formatting. Please see the call for Managing Editor-Elect on the following page for more detailed information. It is a significant time commitment and responsibility, but also an amazing opportunity to serve the profession and advance the scholarship of international agricultural and extension education. Take the time to consider whether or not this is the right calling for you to serve your association and the broader profession. Sincerely, Amy Harder Executive Editor, JIAEE
